    Default MTX Thunder 4500

Just wondering if MTX Thunder 4500 will work in my Polk Audio PSW50 subwoofer. It is an ported box with a 125 watt built in amp.

I think that your box is bigger than the mtx is designed for. It should make noise, but I don't think it would be a upgrade from the stock driver. If your driver is blown and you don't want to build a new box; then I would use a dayton quatro. It has twice the Xmax and costs less than the MTX.

If you blew the sub driver up then maybe you should consider getting a bigger driver and buiding a new box. You could use the amp from the old sub if you didn't wan't to buy a new one.
