    Default 10" Quatro box *PIC*

The garage stereo needed a little help in the bass dept, so's I built up this little number to "assist". I call it the "auxwoofer". 30 liters net, 36 gross, tuned to 34 Hz by (1) 3" vent, 13 3/8" long. Design is -3 dB @ 38 Hz, -8 @ 30.

Works real good, much better than its predesesor along side.

    Default Internals *PIC*

Here's a construction shot. I thought that long tube could use a little extra support.

    Have fun!

I've got two eights I impulse-purchased a while back - does anyone know if I can get some numbers?

If they are the Optimus Pro CSW series...

Hey I like that combo support & bracing design.

The problem is the box is way undersized for the Pro Series. That "Radio Shack" driver is actually an MTX 3000 10" in diguise. I infamously ran one in a 2.1ft³ vented box and it would play massively loud. Not super clean. BUT LOUD.

    Looks like 'em...

Darn. Was hoping to just cut a coupla holes in a box, stuff in a piezo, and hand 'em over to the girlfriend's 11 year old punk rocker daughter...

    Hehe...

It must have been a while back. I think I got mine at some "stupid good" 2/3 rds off "clearance" deal at RS back when they actually carried speaks.

    Have fun!
