    Default painting question?

I'm painting the front and back of my cabinets black and using the cherry vinyl on the sides and top. My question is should I tape the top and sides off to avoid overspray where the vinyl will lay?
also does anybody know where I can find solderable ring connectors?

I didn't tape when i sparyed my baffles and i had no problem getting the vinyl to stick. Don't ever try to take it off though, the glue they put on this stuff is strong and will pull apart mdf.

Ring terminals for what gauge wire?

on vinces vht x-overs it looks like he used ring terminals to connect the wires to the posts he made. Does anyone know if that's how it was done? I like the clean look but want to get it right.

Any hardware store will have the ring terminals. They're inexpensive and do give a great look. I'd recommend a drop of solder on each connection. But be a little cautious - use brass screws to eliminate the chance of creating a small magnetic field (or so I've been told). But whadda' I know? I'm no engineer...

Home Depot electrical dept has them, look around by the wire rack. If you can't find the size you want uninsulated buy them insulated and twist off the plastic piece. I use them all the time.

Do you solder to them with capacitors and what not?

I usually solder loops or eyelets from the existing capacitor lead.

As for the stack-on eyelets, yes you can if you want. Buy the red insulated ones, remove the plastic part, slip capacitor lead in (may have to crimp connector to hold in place), solder as always.

BTW.... use the really thin solder for quick melt. I get mine at rat shack.
