HI ALL,
I BOUGHT 4 OF THESE WOOFERS ON CLOSEOUT,I AM THINKING ABOUT USING 2 PER SPEAKER. DOES ANYBODY HAVE A DESIGN PROJECT THAT USES THESE OR ANY SUGGESTIONS ON XCROSS POINTS AND BOX DESIGNS? THANKS IN ADVANCE.

I have some HM130Z0 I got for a buyout to build the Black Dhalia speaker which was praised very highly a decade or so ago. Since you have the original woofers, I would be willing to part with my two new in box 130s. I forgot what tweeter they used in that design but it may still be around. Search for black dhalia speaker and see what comes up. I'm think about $150 for the pair plus shipping
THANKS FOR THE OFFER, PAUL, BUT I NEED TO DO A LITTLE MORE RESEARCH. HEY YOU'RE A PRETTY GOOD BUSSINESS MAN, ALMOST 100% PROFIT! ALTHOUGH THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP LATELY, GOOD INFORMATIONS.
Those woofers he bought at the premium price of the day. Zalytron is selling the next upgrade which changed everthing and people said it just didn't have the same quality to it. They sell those at $60 a piece but it's not the original like he has.

I built a 5 cf vented MtM using a pair of those with a Vifa H26 horn dome to net about a 95dB SPL pair of speakers for my tube buddy. I wanted the bass to reach as low as they could, and IMHO a 5 cf box is just a little too large of a tower to live with every day.
The tweet was 2nd order with an L-pad and the woofer pair was 3rd order with a Zobel. If you're interested I could e-mail you info. I saw these on sale in the flyer. I paid about $90 EACH for 4 of them. The project total for parts was around $500.
My younger brother has been working on his Poly Natalies (sp) for 5+ years. He built some awesome cabinets for them. He bought the woofers and tweeters about 5 years ago, the recent HM130Z0 was a godsend to finish this project as I thought he would never find them. He bought a pair of HM130Z10 to use just in case he couldn't find the original mid range.
Now all he has to do is build the crossover, which I believe I will get stuck building that. After all this time it sure will be nice to hear these speakers that have been rated highly.
No reason you can't use the HM130Z0 with the HM210C0, but that project above calls for the HM210Z0, a different woofer entirely. The C series are carbon fiber. The Z are aerogel. I think the carbon actually look better than the aerogel.
The FR plot should tell you how high to cross them, up to 2kHz to still get decent off-axis response. So, you COULD even make them a 2-way. I think the best bass would be vented about 60-75L. And for a three way, I'd use a canister midrange like the RS52 crossed at 700Hz. Cross to a 3/4" tweeter like the OW1 at 4kHz or so.
