    Has anybody used this mic preamp to measure speakers?

    ..if you have a burning desire to build something, it might make a good first project.

    If you are doing it to save money, it probably won't save you any.

    I would suggest buying an inexpensive phantom power mic preamp or mixer such as those by Rolls or Behringer. Then buy a Behringer ECM8000 mic and have at it.

    I have built two. They work very well. Extremely low noise and very long battery life. You may be able to build it cheaper if you can get everything local, but if you have to order parts, shipping will eat up any savings, plus you get a nice pc board in the kit.
