Default WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?

"You'll be captivated with the improved musicality these wood blocks provide."

This is just insane! I would be captivated by the sheer stupidity of anyone who actually buys into their lame sales pitch...

Fortunately for me, I have a whole plank of myrtle, 1.25" thick dressed.

Hopefully when I get the machinery to cut it into blocks for feet, I will be able to make about 10000% profit.

Has anyone done any ABX tests to determine what is the VERY BEST timber for feet and for knobs?

    Default I use glued pencils

The combination of wood and the carbon lead of the tip of the sharpened pencil, cut and glued to the bottom of the high fi equipment really improves the high and the lows of the sound.

It doesn't do much for the mid range.

Does anyone know why I have a dramatic improve ment in the clarity of the high's and lows.

I think its the 'werewolf eeffect' myself.

Absolutely. Any idiot knows that these will only work properly if you have a bottle of Magic Pebbles atop the equipment too.

Edit: 'Any idiot' should read 'Only Idiots'.

Actually, I think you'll find that processed wood panels, like MDF and particle board have remarkably little timbre. They don't produce much musical vibration, and pretty much vibrate a little across the spectrum, as opposed to having resonances at certain frequencies, as other woods of various sizes do.

that stuff is for guitar and bass bodies, not speaker cabinets. But you already knew that. My favorite are the $3k interconnects and gold plated mains wiring/fuse breaker boxes.

    Default What?!?? No marmot urine?

C'mon people. If you're gonna oil the snake (and it looks like a few of people are oiling a snake of one kind or another) ya gotta oil it right. Nubile Welsh Virgins? Stonehenge? Belgian Blondes wrapped in stoles made of marmot pelts? Geez, they have it so wrong.... Looks like I'm gonna have to do it right for 'em.

Hello. Travelocity? Yeah I need a ticket to the UK by way of Belgium. Know if I need to put my marmot in quarantine once I arrive? What about my wombat too?

That makes me lose faith in the quality of anything they sell. Granted, I'd never own any of their electronics anyway because they seem to cost more than my cars, but if they think that their stuff can be improved by wood blocks, obviously they need to hire better engineers.

I agree completely. I admit that I have never heard any of their gear, but now, despite their reputation as being rather good, I don't think I would want to bother.

Makes me wonder why a company would want to downgrade its reputation thus.
