Anyone have any experience with this crossover? Any likes/dislikes to report? How does it compare to other electronic crossovers?

I like mine, so many options you could get lost in it. first thing if you get one is, it starts out all muted, so you have to un mute it. and if the xover slopes are set to link mode, you sometimes have to put it in free mode and move the curves further apart to get good results. All in all, unless you have a concrete setup, or a measurement rig, your going to be guessing and guessing as to what the right settings are. my advice? depending on what you need, build a proven design.

I don't think you will find another product like the
DCX for $250. If not DCX, then you may be looking
at another brand of digital crossovers in the
$500 - $3000 range.

For the money, it's pros far outweigh any cons,
so if you need a low cost digital crossover, get
one, you will learn alot about audio very quickly
as it's a powerful tool.

There is a yahoo user group for the unit.

I have one but do not use it. A little sparkle is lacking. The output needs to be upgraded with better opamps. Many people bypass the outout stage and direct drive the preamp. The dsp unit seems to be good quality.

Give some consideration as to how you will implement a multichannel volume control downstream of the ouput of the DCX2496.
