Default spec cut-out diameter of Seas H1212 accurate?

    Hi,

I'm building Zaph's DA175 MTM design. I have some da175's on hand for cutting those holes on the baffle, however, the Seas H1212 is sold out everywhere I looked.

I imagine building this design must be a popular idea during the holiday vacation since both the tweeter and woofer are on backorder.

Question - Can I count on the specified measurements on the Seas site and go ahead with the cuts? Anyone mount these units recently?

    Thanks,

    David

I do believe they are accurate. Rudy Jakubin knows for sure.

You could probably plop in a 27TDFC til the metal domes are back in stock. Probably no change to the crossover either. I do that all the time with those two tweeters.
    Same motor but different domes.

Yes, the cutouts are accurate as spec'd.
I got the 27TDFC's in my MTMWW's with 4 - DA175's right now and before that I had the 27TBFC/G's and before that the Dayton RS28. You got to love them 104mm faceplate drivers.
Once again the 27TDFC & 27TBFC/G are the same physically and electrically except for the dome material.
By the way, I got 3 CD's today from Chesky.com and I gotta say that the 27TDFC tweeter was something to hear with them high quality audiophile grade CD's.
Either way you go, these are high quality tweeters.
