On hold....
To those to whom I have made enquiries re drivers ... I have decided to put any new projects on hold until after mid-year.
I have this shoulder to get fixed, then almost certainly a house move to get through, and by then I will then also have funding due to a post-grad scholarship.
Thanks for all the input that people have given.

Re: On hold....
Andy,
I'm still out on the edges and rarely up to speed...what happened to your shoulder?? Moving again and getting a place with a nice shed doesn't sound good either. All sounds rather inconvenient and Bad Form and all...

Re: On hold....
The shoulder is basically stuffed... busitis or tendon or something, can't lift arm above shoulder without big pain :-(
Going for ultrasound, x-ray etc tomorrow. see what happens and what they find.
As for the house I am now renting, the guy wants to knock it down later in the year and re-build. We have talked, and he says he will give me plenty of warning, he even has another, better, house he says in coming vacant soon. It may however be more appropriate to move nearer Uni seeing I will be spending much more time there after mid year. Decisions !!

Re: On hold....
wow, sorry to hear that Andy. Hope it's strained and not damaged. Good luck on that shoulder.
I thought you were close to the beach, pubs and all the best of Newcastle. Maybe why you should get closer to Uni, eh? hehe! You devil...

I will be doing Post-Grad work up there from mid year. What other reason could there possibly be ;-)))

Re: On hold....
I certainly hope you aren't leaving here for any significant period of time!

No way.. too much fun ;-))
I'll still call in real regular like, just won't be doing any building stuff.

ps:
since I won't be thinking of building "stuff", expect even more 'off the cuff' silly statements, and the occasion words of wisdom. (very occasional;-)) )
nice red, this is !!.... was !!!

What subject is your graduate work in?

I'm just finishing a degree in Civil Engineering at Uni of Newcastle. Will have 1st class honours, and may even pick up the Dean's Medal ;-))
My post-grad will, at this stage, be in water supply engineering, I think.

Far Out!
Far Out! I'm always happy to see people with successful college careers and then going on for further post grad study. My son and daughter both pulled Departmental Honors in their fields.

Congrats. Why, I remember giving little Andy a bad time about playing hooky on homework in the old chat room!

Probably useful there -- heck, I know for sure it would be useful here in Cali.

Yeah, everyone over there thinks I'm a strange, roo hunting, wombat humping, crazy Aussie hick...
But I'm not as dumb as y'all think ;-))

HEY, I thought your post-grad was on...
...the dual purpose proposal and structural planning of a tunnel exit as a combined exponential bass horn with an Fs approaching that of a black hole?

Indeed! It's a shame that all his hard-fought knowledge would be useless up here--water swirlin' the wrong way and all. ;-)
Hope your shoulder gets patched back up sooner than later, Andy!

Need to keep your sensibilities around!
