MPV door woofer help *PIC*

I'm the original owner of this '92 MPV and the surrounds on the 6" woofers in the doors is rotting. The rest of the van is in decent shape.
So, I'm looking for the most "cost effective" replacement for these.
The ID #'s on the Pioneer OEM speaks are: LA02 66 960 & TS-06005ZM. This is a 4ohm/25watt puppy.
Picture shows mounting on bracket in door.
The mounting hole in the bracket is "dead-on" 5inches.
I had to knock the speaker off the bracket (it was glued on), and it looks like the (295-372) RS150 4ohm may do the trick, but it's a little pricey for two. Is this like "casting pearls before swine"?

Any suggestions?
Thanks, Bruce

A look at Crutchfield shows that many "6 1/2" inch car speakers will fit there including the Blaupunkt PCxb652 for $40 a pair. Even those are better than the stock ones you've had for 15 years. You may be better off finding something locally.

PIC looks like 1-way woof.

I assume there is a tweeter mounted somewhere else. Crutchfield site did not indicate that, but your photo does not appear to be of a coaxial driver. "Most cost effective" would be to replace this with a 6 1/2" (or 5 1/4")coaxial driver and just unhook the existing tweeter. I recently did just that in a '97 Cadillac De Ville. The link below is what I installed. They stock both 6 1/2 or 5 1/4 " This was an improvement and very low cost. Or, you could replace both woof and tweeter with a component system, for more money.

Re: PIC looks like 1-way woof.
Thanks for your suggestions.
Yep, it's a one way woof.
And it's mounted at "hip" level in the door, so unless I have surgery to have my ears moved down to my ****, the tweeter at that level's going to be wasted.
I have a Dayton Classic 6.5" on hand and it's too big, while the 5.25" is too small
I figure that I'll head off to some local auto-sound retailers (like BB) and that may turn up some more choices.
The tweeters are mounted in the dash and are still working pretty good.

Perhaps a pair of cheap Jensens (or similar) with a whizzer cone would be a good choice.

Nice and easy. Your hole opening is a bit big (0.25" total), but the speaker has a nice response for a lousy door opening like that.
