Everybody here.....
...does such nice work, and alot of you have great websites where your designs are posted.
I've stumbled on to a few on my own but I know there must be more....
If you have a site or know of one please post a link, I want to gather a collection.
No comercial sites, just the DIYers.
I love looking at all the great projects!!!!
Thanks

..a couple days ago at work, but the %^#^%$#%$ *** filter (at work) won't let me look at Photobucket. I will check it out at home when I have a minute. Seems like my only free time any more is at work.
Thanks

The Eminence is currently replaceable by the Definimax 4012HO, and the Mids are Morel MW168. The horn is the Selenium DH200E with 60/40 flare, but I would probably use the Dayton waveguide were I to do it again. 1.5ft^3/.5ft^3 respectively. Slot-ported to about 45 Hz/sealed. Walls are lined, but not stuffed. This was my first "hi-fi" project, and Jeff B designed the xover for me. 95dB sensitivity, and probably overbuilt enough to take 200-300 Watts. I rarely ever use more than 10-12W peak. Shawn had his Crown XLS402 up here once, and they broke 100dB without breaking a sweat. I have a group of drivers to match the MTM section for the rest of the HT. I have a writeup I could send you if you like.

It's a proto-Dayton Titanic. It's *very* similar to the Memphis LVS15, but with dual 4 ohm coils instead of 2 ohmers. 1" xmax one-way, and probably 1kW of Pe. I have a piar of 500W BASH to go with it. =-)
Currently, I have the "Marianas" sub for the HT, and I will most likely be keeping it. The "Charybdis" may be sold-off, depending...
Crazy? I *OWN* the looney-bin! =-))

hello Mr. Wolf:
If that was your 1st attempt, I'd say you did great, and it's better than "hi-fi" !
Nice to see someone else doing the higher effiency stuff.
I understand Jeff B carries well due respect when it comes to crossover design, and Shawn sounds familiar, although I have to admit (for me) about a 5 year absence from this board. I'm glad to see how helpful everyone is towards each other.
I have also experienced other forums where things get ugly.
When you say "up here" what part of the country are you referring to ? I worked a long hard 5 years to be able to re-locate to where I'm at now (Knoxville)... and part of my choice was so that I could more easily float around the country, to do things like visit the Annual Summer tent Sale in Dayton. I'll have to see if I can contact the Dixie Bottleheads; I know they are around here somewhere. My old area (Palm Beach County) was too hoytee-toytee for anyone to ever form an audiophile/DIY'er speaker building club.
Thanks for the info, and keep enjoyin' the music !!

Gary, here's where I keep a small sample of speakers I've made...during construction and finished. The non-speaker stuff is on the last couple pages.

The cabs are refurbs, the internals, front and back are redone.

It's a respect that's well earned from the sensitivity aspect.

He lives about 1.5 hrs southwest of my pad.
and Shawn

Shawn A. He lives about 2 hrs direct south of me. I was probably on the forums when you quit looking. =-) I started in '97 on the boards.
