I need the .2mH and really would not want to unwind a perfectly good inductor.

I'm curious. What did you not like about the bass? On which model? All of them?

I have the Modula MT's and thought the bass was pretty nice.

When you hear a quad array of DA175, you get real spoiled. There's something about spreading the bass duty to multiple drivers beyond just "more drivers" that contributes to a certain smoothness to bass reproduction. By starting the mini-line near the floor, you allow bass response to be smoother at the listening position versus having only a couple woofers up off the floor. Floor bounce cancellation is reduced, boundary gain, and of course, sensitivity are increased and distortion is reduced compared to TM or MTM designs. And now that he's going to replace the DA175 with RS180, there's going to be just that much more to love with the 50% increase in usable excursion.

    Yup! Nice!
    I didn't want nice. I wanted Dynamics.
At the time I was comparing them to my line arrays of 10 DA-135's the 5" version of the aluminum drivers.
The quad DA175's were an equal match to the line arrays as far as bass went. Good feel and dynamics.
