Default North D25 or Seas 27TDFC?

I'm revising my xo for my MLTL project and now replacing the old TB tweeter. I had these speakers back in 2004 (DIY CHICAGO) MY original xo point was 4th LR @2.7k.

I was looking into Zaph's test of the Silver Flute W14 and he had mentioned a xo point of 1.8K will be the optimal for this driver.

My question is.. which tweeter should I pick?

    TIA!

Ooops. I have both. I prefer the sound of the Northcreek - just a bit. Both are easy to work with. The Seas will cross just a bit lower with lower order XO's, but I think either will work at 1800 with LR4.

I just sent an email 5 days ago and I believe they still have some left.

I don't have any experience with the Seas but I can say that the North 25 $ for $ is by far the best purchase I have made in some time. $36.00 a pair is sick for this sweet tweeter. I bought 10 matched pairs with no regrets.

I have had both. The 27TDFC is an excellent tweeter. That said, if you can get it, then get the North. It is about half the price, and will no longer be available soon. Otherwise, they are very comparable tweeters.

Thanks Jeff! your "Dreydels" are the ones that convinced me to revise my SF-TB MLTL xo. I'll get the North D25 this week.

I'll just echo the responses....the 27tdfc is a great tweeter, and I prefer it to the D25 by a very slight margin. But, for $18 each, the D25 is probably the best tweeter value available.

You heard it at the 2004 DIY in my "Pee-Creek" speakers. I remember your TLs - they sounded great.....really amazing bass for the size! Should be a value killer with that tweet!
