Seems like a good deal. Anyone know if it's any good? Will it do 40 hz -3db in 1ft3 sealed?

It will go nearly to 40 hz in a 1 ft3 box. 1.36 ft3 is optimal, sealed. In a car, use the 1 ft3 and you'll be there easily.

stuffing a sealed box with fiberglass or polyfill makes it act like it's about 20% larger, so build it 83% of the recommended volume and stuff it!

Or just build it a cubic foot (since that's easy enough to get right) and then stuff it to get whatever sort of damping (Qtc) you want.
