TV Help, Please!
Our Main TV is a 55" Mitsu RPTV.. As of late (the past week or so), when I turn it on, the picture goes nuts (for lack of a better word). The picture separates like the convergence is off, but reseting it does nothing. It happens on all of the inputs, signal or no signal, with no regard to the resolution. It usually fixes itself after a few minutes.
Does anyone know what's up? This is a situation that'll need service, for replacement is not an option.
Thanks,
NK

I have a 42" RP (4 years old), and I don't know a LOT about them, but it seems like one of your CRTs is getting ready to give up the ghost.

Re: TV Help, Please!
My old Panasonic RP HDTV started to have a problem with electronic focus (I think that was the term) I was able to get some help at avsforum and learn how to open her up and do some tweaking.
you might want to post a msg over there and see if they might be able to help you.

Check the solder connections on the convergence ICs. They're probably all broken and move around when they heat up. Give the left rear panel a big smack and see if the convergence whacks out.
