Default The End of Cinderella's Story *PIC*

Provided Link: More photos and writeup

"They lived happily ever after." How's that?

Yes, they are finished. My first spray-paint job was [essentially] a success. The drivers are back in, and my living room is awash in full-range musical bliss. These speakers were FAR more worth the effort than I even imagined they would be. They sound like money. For $250 in electronics, $35 in wood and Bondo, and $(insert random sum here) in spray paint, these speakers sound like they should cost around $1000 apiece. No joke.

Thanks to Wayne W, Curt C, Shawn A, Aaron Hero, and Blair for their assistance and insight along the way.

    Sincerely,
    Paul Carmody

    Default Nice job, dude!

Looks like you finally got the hang of the paint-job! I'm glad I could help you along the way as well. I can't exactly tell the color, due to angle, and flash, but is that a light-grey or white in shadow?
    Nice job,
    Wolf

    Default Very nice!

Those look Great! Nice write-up too. You're right, after the diy-bug hits, the visits to the stereo shop take on a very different feel. The diy thing just has so much more satisfaction to it..

The pic on your first post looks kind of gray-ish, but the one of the whole system on your write up page looks fantastic. They are very unique looking, and your write-up of how they came to be is entertaining and interesting.

I share your excitement of having your significant other excited about your speaker project. You know you're doing something right when instead of saying "yeah, that's nice"... she says, "wow! Those thinks look cool, how'd you do that?"
Keep it up, and soon you'll be in the throws of full-blown DIY disease!
