    Default MA Audio MA100XE

I'm helping my nephew build a Sub enclosure for a MA Audio MA100XE Subwoofer. I use WINISD Beta for calculating Enclosure volume, but I get way different recommendations from WinISD than what the Speakers Manual recommends. The Manual recommends for a Vented box a volume of 1.75cf while WinISD comes back with .629cf. That seems like a pretty wildly different volume. Which should I use?

    Speaker Parameters
    qms 4.27
    qes .35
    qts .31
    VAS 42.51 liters
    XMax 22mm

Do you already own this subwoofer? If you do, then build according tomanufacturers specs. 1.75 cubes tuned to 30 Hz or so will yield an F3 in the high 20's, low 30's. Hardly ideal for in-car, but some people will like that big boom.

If you do not own this subwoofer yet, don't. It is not a good driver for in-car use, it would work better for home theater, really. $53 dollar woofer with 22mm XMax!

Disregard, I was thinking of another MA driver. Just build the enclosure to manufacturers specs and throw a couple hundred watts at it.
