    Default DCR question

I'm starting a project that calls for a inductor value of 2.5mH and a DCR of .65Ohm,but the closest one I can find has a DCR of .59Ohm. Several of the other inductors present this same problem, lower DCR values than called for.
Will this affect the sound quality much, or does it only matter when the DCR goes the other way?

Excuse the stupid question and thanks alot guys.

Default You'd be fine with the .59

if you're worried about it, you could always add a few extra feet of speaker wire to make up the difference.

Naaahhh.. no question is truly stupid... uh, well, most of 'em. These aren't.

The good news.. lower is usually not an issue, where too high usually is. The closer to the theoretical "0 ohm" perfect inductor, the better.

The DCR of the inductors will play a part in the tuning of a crossover. Usually, it's not a big influence, but in woofer low passes it can play a part in the bass response and have a bit of influence on the overall sensitivity.

parts express part number 255-402 = .25mh add it to 255-406 which is .39mh total .64mh
