    Default Latest Project *PIC*

This is the latest project uses Silver Flute OEM drivers. Very mellow speaker with smooth mids, very good low end extension and good top end.

The finish looks like its made of a form a suede from my screen. I'm assuming it isn't, but that would be pretty fancy if it was.

"Assuming it isn't"? Didn't you make these?

They do look like suede though.

They are painted with a dark brown multi-colored textured Rustoleum paint avaiable at Lowes. The camera makes them look a bit uneven in color but they are not.

I used the Autum Brown for a try at something other than black. It does look very much like suede. The top has is made of 1/2" walnut over 1/2" mdf.

The front baffle is 1" mdf (1/2" mdf doubled up)and beveled so lots of exposed mdf end grain. I applied 3 coats of spray laquer and 3 coats of the Rustoleum and you can see the end grain at all.
