replacement speaker

I recently bought an old klipsch model sw-8 2 from a
yardsell, the amp works great but the subwoofer ( 8" sub with a 10" passive raidator) has some damage to it. I would like to replace it with a high quality sub but don't know which to buy? thanks.

If the damage is on the box, just measure it and make an exact replica.
If the damage is on the components, try to find from Klipsch the Thiele-Small parameters of the damaged speaker, then browse the catalogs to find a woofer with the closest match.
Get also the passive TS parameters, likely you will not find an exact match of the wf and a retune of the reflex will be necessary

I'm also confused regarding what is damaged and how much you will need/want to replace. There is an owner's manual available from Klipsch that lists some specs, including what 'may' be the model numbers of the sub and passive radiator.
