Dayton Reference 8" sheilded question

I was wondering if someone could confirm for me whether or not this will work. I'd like to use the Reference 8" driver in an existing enclosure that is approx 1/3 cubic ft. and slot ported... 1" by 9" by 12" long
Am I far off from what this driver needs?

if you mean part number 295-366 it can be no smaller than .6 cu ft sealed 1 cu ft is better sealed. ported is about 2 cu ft

Your port tunes your box to 68 Hz. The 8" RS driver in that box should be +6dB @ 110 Hz (yikes!) with an F3 above 60 Hz (F3 of only 85 if you base it off the peak @ 110).

Sealing the port and stuffing the box yields a Q close to 1.0, drops the peak down by 4.5 dB (to +1.5dB @ 105 Hz) and extends the F3 by maybe 5 to 10 Hz. Definately a better way to go.
