Default Help! need info on old drivers

Hello everyone. I could realy use some help. I need specs on some old drivers I bought about 20 years ago from PE(no kidding) and never used. The drivers are so old I don't even think there were T/S measurements then! I will get a woofer tester to measeure but in the meantime I can use any info anyone out there would have along with recomendation s on how to use these.

    290-180 15" Eminence Thruster woofer
    290-137 12" Eminence Thruster woofer
    290-029 Audax 6 1/2"? woofer
    270-055 MG horn/bullet tweeter
290-101 11"? woofer made by Phillips or audax or Siare?
    290-029 6 "? Onkyo monitor 9 woofer
    281-100 Sanyo midrange speakers

Also Pioneer ribbon tweeter marked 87-0516 and ART-54F
    Also 12" Eminence speakers marked EM12AE and 12 30 2 AE and 67-8139

Thank you very much in advance for any info you may have.

Maybe someone out there has a stack of real old PE catologs with this info?

I started DIYing again (27 yrs after doing it myself in H.S.) in 2000, after the big "D". In that cat. the 290- numbers were already ALL Pioneer drivers. 290-028 was a 6-1/2". So I'm thinkin' you'll be needing cats from the '90's (or, like you said, even the '80's).

Also, in your list, you've got TWO drivers numbered 290-029.

    Thanks for looking!

Yeah the 2nd 290-029 is a mistake, on those drivers there is no PE part number. I remember now that these onkyo's were in a buy out flyer

I hope someone can find some info I have several of each of these drivers. I know they are old but I'd really like to put something together with them. I now work for a company that gives me access to free Birch plywood cut offs, many times they are nearly full sheets. It's driving me nuts I have to build something!

You know I just thought of another clue when typing my last post. I bought these drivers around the time the first Audax speaker project booklet came out. Thats why I bought the 6 1/2" drivers to build the MTM project in the booklet. I can't find the booklet anywere online. Anyway maybee that will help. It had to be late 80's early 90's

Default All Really Old Drivers Should Be Tested !!

Otherwise, they could be road hazards :-)
