Tang band W4-616s or MCM 55-1853
How do these 2 drivers stack up? I like Tang Band, having nice results with the W3-871s, but I've never heard any of the MCM drivers. I know Zaphaudio has a good review of the 55-1853 and has a small bookshelf speaker using this driver on there too (Bargain Mini) and at 1/2 the cost they seem like a great deal.

Re: Tang band W4-616s or MCM 55-1853
I have built two sets of the little Zaph mini-monitor, and intent to build at least three more sets, one in a MTM version, with possibly a 2.5 configuration.
My wife calls the MCM 55-1853 her favorite driver. The base is limited, as with any four inch driver, but it is there.
I can't comment on how it compares to the Tangband, but I can tell you that I'm very satisfied with the little monitors.

I would say... *PIC*

Based on the way that Zaph (as well as others) have bashed many of the MCM drivers, if he says good things about the 55-1853, they must be pretty good.
