    Default subwoofer replacement amp

I have an Inifity BU-120 that has blown the amp. I am looking at the Dayton SA100. I should be able to modify the cabinent to fit this model. The specs on the BU-120 are 150W, 30 to 150Hz frequency response and Crossover. It says Frequency is continuously variable with a 12 " Driver. There is a wooden board inside the the subwoofer that may have to cut out will this effect the sound of the speaker. Please let me know if this amp will work with this speaker or do you have a unit that would fit the speaker better. The size of this amp is getting close to the max size for the cabinent. The other option is should I just replace the whole unit.

    Thanks

What is the size of the amp cut-out on your infinity sub? P.E. used to have a 150 watt plate amp but it seems your choices are either the 100 watt or the 240 watt.

Can you post a pic of the enclosure, showing the board you mention?

Worst case scenario, you can always build a small external box for your new sub amp ;^) .

    Thanks for the quick response

I can't say what the required opening sizes are for Dayton's plate amps, but the 240w is only $99 right now (cheaper than the 100w'er). If it'll fit in your box, you'd be silly not to get it. If your current driver can reach 30 Hz w/o boost, I'd get the amp w/o boost (it comes 2 ways, with and w/out boost).
