    Default XLR Wiring


    Should Pin 1 also have a jumper connected to the XLR connector ground tab.

    In that case no, connecting the signal ground to chassis cround will produce a ground loop withing the cable.

    On a cable, no.

    On a chassis-mount connector, YES!!
