    Default Rss 390HF-4 DRIVER ?

I am going to build 1 or 2 sealed sub boxes with the RSS 390. What would be the better route, since im going to use 2 of them, use 1 box or 2 boxes, these will be wired in series for 8 ohm in a 14x20x8 room

Spread them out and get a more uniform room response.

    Default Two Subwoofers

I agree with Pete. Putting one in each corner would be nice. I don't know what amp you're using, but if you are planning on powering 2 with the same amp keep this in mind: Running these in parallel could be dangerous to your amp if it's not 2 ohm stable. 8 ohms might sadly disapoint you, by running these in series. The RSS 390HF are four ohm drivers. If I were doing what you are doing, if your budget allows, get a separate 1000 watt amp for each, or at least a 500 each (2 amps)

I have the RSS 390 HF, which I'm building a new, bigger box for that's 4.25 cubic ft. I'm using the old box right now with an Eminence Eclipse 12" W1238R and PE's SA-240 amp. I anticipate the results, with one in each opposite corner to be phenomenal. I can't even imagine what Phillip Arcario's system must sound like with 3, but it must shake your guts loose, push your insides out and crack the walls! It must literally sound like God! I'd ask Phil. He has one box strategically located behind the couch and says it shakes the hell out of you. Either way, two boxes are most definitly better than one, and twice the fun!

    Best Regards,
    Eric

When a door slams on a car it feels like I am in the car not on the couch. I jump so many times during a movie it is the coolest thing. Who needs bass shakers. Then when I want music I just lower the one behind the couch. So that the cd's are not over bassed. Go for the two and use them like speaker stands for your front left and right speakers. It will work good for movies and music. look into crowns xti amp it has a built in crossover pe number 245-435 it will drive both of your subs and crossover is included.

Default Phil, you are my hero!......

....and, by far have, what I feel, is easily, the most interesting HT setup I have seen in this forum.

All bow to the Reckhorn HT god and the royal tri-sub king of subwoofers!

    Cheers,
    Eric
