    Default Radio Shack 40-1011A projects

So I have five of the old Realistic 40-1011A polypropylene woofers sitting around, and I am looking for project ideas.

Any ideas on some affordable tweeters? Like to keep tweeter/crossover parts under 100 bucks for all five speakers.

They will be in a small, sealed enclosure (about 0.5 cubic feet) with an F3 in the upper 80's/low 90's. Bass will be taken care of by an old powered subwoofer I built, just laying around.

Simple and affordable are the keywords here.

    Thank in advance.

I remember the David Weems books used those RS drivers. I'm not sure what tweeters he used, but there was some sealed, vented and MTM designs. The two books are "Designing, Building, and Testing Your Own Speaker System" and "Great Sound Stereo Speaker Manual". The first book came out in 1990, so the tweeters he used might not be around anymore. He did use a lot of Radio Shack drivers in those older projects.

I have those books, and in fact two of the five drivers I have I bought to build the sealed 2-way using the mylar dome tweet from radio shack.

Looking at the K1 from Hi Vi as a potential mate, a couple "book" 2 way crossovers with zobel.

I have 2 used that you can have for 10 bucks! I have 2 with some of the flange trimmed in addition. I only have the 4.
