    Default CA18RNX Bookshelf help

    Hello,

I have a pair of seas ca18rnx drivers left over from my previous car stereo. I would like to use these drivers in a pair of simple sealed bookshelf speakers. What would you recommend in terms of a tweeter and crossover?

    Regards,
    Ben

The 27TDFC or 27TBFC would both be great choices. Either will cross as low as 1500Hz cleanly with a 2nd order electrical filter.

I'm not familiar with that particular woofer, so I really couldn't recommend any specific XO values.

I decided to try out a crossover for you using the Seas 27TDC tweeter. I'll post the schematics over in the htguide.com thread you posted, since it is easier for me to attach pictures over there.

    Hi Ben,

You might want to check out the post by bidland, about halfway down the page. Bjorn is a lab technician for Seas, and he came up with this design. Good luck no matter what path you take.

    Best,

    Steve
