Default Dayton DVC 8 woofer vs. DVC 8 subwoofer?

Guys, I got ready to order parts for my Aether project and went looking for a Dayton DVC 8 woofer on the website. Couldn't find a Dayton DVC woofer, although I would have sworn it, that is the woofer, was on sale just a few days ago. Called Parts Express this morning. One tech at Parts Express told me they were sold out. Another referred to the Dayton DVC subwoofer part no. 295-480.

Are these the same thing and I just made a mistake as to what part I actually needed or are they different? I could have sworn I saw both of them listed as different items a few days ago, but I'm old and my mind is going.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I'm only aware of two Dayton 8" subs, the DVC (which is shielded, inexpensive, and a great little woofer that's been around quite a while), and the new RS 8" sub, which is not a DVC, costs a LOT, but is still most likely a terrific little performer.

The Aethers use the 295-480 (8" DVC Sub).

To think I spent all that time writing up a BOM for nothing. ;-)

    Default Not at all....

cj said the only 2 Dayton 8" subs he was aware of were the RSS210, and SD210. I was merely stating that he forgot the Q8, and it's a venerable little tank.
