Rotel Intig Amp
My ROTEL RA-985BX Integrated Amp is kapoooie. I am looking for ideas for a replacement but and getting pieced in a corner.
The current replacement option is only 60w (vs100 that I had) so that means an amp added. I also need feed for two different sets of speakers (indoor & out) so that adds another amp. That makes the replacement setup pushing $2400.
Any ideas what I can use for that 100w range to push 2 Vanderstien speakers and a subwoofer on (A) while having the option of using (B) for the patio speakers, and (AB) for both.
I mostly use it all for CDs and satelite radio

Re: Rotel Intig Amp
Your message lacks something in clarity, but if I read it correctly you're trying to have 100wpc x 4 channels. That can be done for a lot less than $2400, or a lot more depending on your desire for expensive gear.
First of all, are you sure the Rotel is dead? These are generally well made and worth repairing if possible.
If the pre-amp section of the Rotel is still functioning, use that with a new multi channel amp from Rotel, Outlaw, Emotiva, etc.
If the pre-amp is dead as well, go with maybe a Parasound pre, with one of their multi channel amps, or the same from Rotel, or Outlaw, or or or or on and on......
Many of the newer pres also have dual zone features that would allow different sources to be played in different zones. If I've misunderstood your question, please ask again, but you don't need to spend anywhere near $2400 to get what it seems you're after.

Emotiva LPA-1

Sounds like you need several channels of amplification for current and future use. Check out the Emotiva LPA-1, pretty versatile and will drive 4-ohm loads without breaking a sweat.
