Default Post Pictures of your home theater *PIC*

I'd be interested in seeing what everyone has for their home theather setups.

    Hopefully everyone wants to post.

    Here's mine. Its a 50" Sony SXRD TV with a Pioneer VSX-1015 receiver, PS3, and CJD's RS150 speakers LCR.
Not Pictures: 2 pairs of Acoustech Surround Speakers for the 7.1 setup.

Yes, no subwoofer pictured.. I'm in the process of starting a Rythmik Audio DS1500.

    Default Ever-changing..... *PIC*

Marianas is behind the seating position to the left, and the surrounds are not shown, which are currently the W3-517S1-DCR Tang Band project. I don't have the Sir Audinums present at the moment, and the Bittie-Boom V2 are unconnected presently. Of course, all the other projects are available for rotation. The Comp'8 is hooked up, but depends on the time whether Marianas or it take the role. Center needs to be replaced with a better unit.

"Music-Master M8C"; It's a paper AlNiCo-mag coax, that uses a .5" VC for the woofer, and the frame is the return-path for the tweeter. THESE ARE OLD!!! My uncle assembled them into some formerly tweed grilled cabs (that's what it's in, minus the tweed), most likely back in the 60s. The terminals are thumb-screws that thread in, so rings, spades, or bare-wire are the modus operandi. Sensitivity is high, and xmax is about 1-2mm. I would not think it's more than a 15W driver. Elmer's glue fixes the cone-tears if they happen, and I've had a few. I think it's because they are sooo old they are starting to degrade. There is a mylar(?) cap in series with the 2.5" cone tweeter. They don't sound terribibble, and I might do a back-loaded horn with them eventually for fun. Needs a coil on the woofer....

I still don't have a HT receiver at home. I was kinda hoping my dad would give me his, but I don't think that's gonna happen...

That and my living room isn't that big anyway, so for now I'm still rocking the 27" Samsung HDTV (CRT) and a pair of the Insignias.

Someday, hopefully soon, I will decide on a receiver that suits my needs and fits in the budget. I have been holding out for one with more than 1 DVI input with video upconversion from all sources. 5/6/7.1 doesn't matter.

I just brought the quatro 15/240 combo home from a friends house, but it's so huge I don't know what to do with it. It's in my car for now...

I think the real solution is a bigger house, but that's in the FUTURE...

Yammy AV receiver, Pioneer DVD, 50" LG screen with 250Mb HDD

Shorter speakers are the HT system, 15" sub either side.

Tall speakers are driven by Dynacos (can see them through the glass), and the bass by an amp, cd etc over to the right

Taken from the balcony off my bedroom..........I wish. My HT's still in sheetrock after the renters I leased my house to used the room as a cat sanctuary. I had to gut it down to bare studs and seal everything. I'm just now getting the last of the sheetrock rehung. I finished replacing part of the wiring last night. Forty cats and all their waste makes for a fine mess.

    Hi Andy,
I'm curious how's your sound quality. Have you compared yours with any other manufactures?

    HARDWARE:
    52" Mitsubishi DLP
Pioneer Elite VSX-52TX (surprisingly nice unit!)
Yamaha DVD S2500 (piece of junk. On its good days it boots up in under three minutes and recognizes the disk after 3-4 attempts)

    Speakers:
Mains: Wayne J's Eros MKII's (lovely!).
Center: My knockoff of the Cynosure (with 6 RS-125's and a Dayton Silkie).
Surrounds: Four Vifa D19-05TD tweets and Dayton 5.25" DC130's.
Sub: 12" Titanic MKIII w/ SA-240 amp in a sealed 3 cubic ft box.

I've moved the sub to a different area of the room and have the surrounds placed high and angled downward into the listening area. With some funky room angles and a 10' opening into the dining room, the sweet spot is marginalized, but for HT it really doesn't matter too much. for music I only run the Eros anyway - how I love those speakers!

Default Yo can't post pics that way here...

You have to have a webhost, like Photobucket, and copy a link to the picture from there. Your file from your computer will not show up, unless everyone in the world has constant access to your computer, which we know is just not possible.

I was never able to post pictures until Photobucket was started. To my knowledge, *this forum* has never operated that way.
