    Default AR BUYOUTS?

Has anyone had any success with the 6.5'' yet. I'm on my third x-over and nothing that I'm happy with yet. I have to say that I think the North tweeter is going to match well. I'm just wondering what others have planned for these great buyouts.

I've been pleased with them in my surrounds so far. Nothing but a 4th order @ 3khz to B&G Neo3's and a little eq. I adjusted by ear so far, but they sound very good to me.

Hoping to get the 6.5's in my line arrays next week, since last week went by too fast. Maybe June is more realistic.

I also tried the 5.25"s in an MTM I just threw together using the MCM amp/xover too. Shouldn't have done that. I was planning to use these in a dance studio, but now I've convinced myself to use them in yet another unneeded project. I'm thinking of a clone(inspired) of their original speaker using a side firing RS270 or RS315, the AR 5.25's and an interesting tweeter crossed about 2-2500hz'ish. Still thinking.

Why did you settle on a 4th order?
These have got me a bit confused. I was expecting some weird peaks at the end but there seems to be no sign of major breakup. At least I don't hear any. It seems no matter what you do with them, they sound good. I've mocked up a few x-overs at various points and I'm shocked at how they perform all the way to 3k. So today I put together a 1st order at 2800 and they still sound good. The midrange in these units is superb with good efficiency. It will be interesting to see what others have planned but I am leaning toward a great HT system. Maybe an MTMMM as Andy suggested.

I'm using an MCM amp/xover that is set at 3k/4th order. I was really just playing around, but it sounds good.

Default You Guys Have Me Thinkin'

I bought six of the MCM bi-amp plates for a 6.1 PC system but I've decided to build something smaller for the computer. I have enough of the AR buyouts to build a nice 6.1 HT system with three matching L-C-R MTMWWWW's or TMWWWW's plus MTM or TM surrounds.

BUT... I bought this flat screen TV and can no longer use a matched CC (no screen). I wonder if they'd let me trade up to a 1080p projector? :-) Alas, where would I find the spare cash? :-\
