Default Playing music through laptop

Does anyone know why I would get an, what I am going to call an oscillating sound, when I play Sirius radio from there web site through a wireless router. This doesn't happen while playing music through Media Player.
Thanks Dave

I am at work so I wont be able to check that till I get home. If that is the problem is there a cure for it or is that the way it is?
Thanks Dave

Sirius _may_ have a problem with your ISP, local network connection, or your wireless router.

To check this, try playing other audio or video streams from the Internet such as on www.cnn.com ot www.nbc.com. If those are ok, then it is a Sirius problem.

If not, then I would suspect a wireless problem.
Lots of variables in that. Hard to say.
Wlan troubleshooting - make sure no one else is using your wireless bandwidth, make sure you are using a channel that is strong. You can check for wireless problems easily by using a lan cable from your laptop to the router.

I checked out the sites you posted and they seem to be fine.
The problem I am having does it on my router and the one I am using at work.

If it is a bandwidth problem due to being on a wireless conection make sure the router is closed. Haveing an open router can leave you other computers leaching your bandwidth. Don also had some excellent recommendations below.

Well, the fact that you have the problem at work and at home means we can rule out any local ISP problems.

So, connect a lan cable from your laptop to the router(s) and see if the problem is still there.
If not, you have a wireless specific problem.
You might want to check your wireless router's tech support for tips.

I will do that this weekend. I found a volume control on sirius web site and turned it all the way up and it seems to be better. I will try the cable this weekend to see what it does.
Thanks Dave
