From DVC To Single VC
Hello all, question? I put together a sub with a dvc 12" driver and now I need to upgrade. The driver I have in mind is a single vc and my question is about wiring. Now I have the two channels hooked to the two vc at 4 ohms per coil. Can I run the two + lines together and the two - lines together to the single vc terminals of the proposed woofer?
Re: From DVC To Single VC
Only if you want to let the smoke out of your amp.
Find out if your amp is "bridgable". Most decent car amps ARE, but do not assume it to be the case. If it is, you can use both channels of the amp to drive a single woofer -- but not in the way you describe. That'll blow stuff up even if your amp IS bridgable.
