Default 2 way PA speaker schematic

Looking for a schematic for wiring a 12" woofer, a Titanium compression horn driver, a pre made 2 way crossover and 2 1/4" jacks. Just trying to make sure I get the crossover wired in correctly. Also want to make sure the jacks are wired correctly so when I connect the second cabinet to the first it will drop my 8 ohm load to 4 ohms. Thanks for the help

It's pretty simple really, low out goes to the woofer, high out goes to the comp driver, observe polarity, and just put a jumper wire between the contacts of the two 1/4 jacks.

BUT.... you'll need an L-pad on the comp to drop it's output, and you'll need a zobel on the woofer or your textbook crossover won't function as designed. Both of these extra pieces will go between the drivers and the crossover, and don't worry they are small bits. There are lots of online tools to help you figure out what's needed, like this one for example... http://www.apicsllc.com/apics/Misc/filter2.html (scroll to the bottom).

For the zobel you enter the TS values from the woofer spec sheet and it shows you what values to use and how to connect them. For the L-pad, you have to look at the output graph of both drivers and determine the spl they achieve over the range that driver will cover. So say for example your crossover frequency is 2khz, excluding any small peaks or troughs in the curve, a typical PA driver will produce about 97db below this. However your average compression driver will do 105db above 2khz, so you need an L-Pad with 8db attenuation to match the output levels. Without the L-pad the cabinet will sound extremely bright and harsh.
