I would like to be able to select between two separate receiver or amplifier sources connected to a single speaker pair.

Should there be any kind of dummy load for the unused amp when it is powered on but not connected to the speakers, or is that not a problem for the amp? It would be like having the speaker switches on a receiver on with no speakers connected.

These commercial switches from PE appear to have no dummy load built in....
