    Default Kudos for Monoprice.com

I ordered up some cables from Monoprice.com on Sunday night and got the package in the mail today. Not too bad at all on shipping time. But the item I really like a lot was their fancified Toslink cable.

Silver/gray techflex covering with a chunky metal connectors. I got a 25 foot cable for the whopping sum of $7.98. I don't think anyone can beat this kind of a deal. I now have the G5 hooked up to one of my Yammies and it's making for some really nice sound. Funny how stuff sounds better when there isn't a fan obnoxiously whirring away. My entire order cost me under $20 shipped. That includes the optical cable, a couple of six foot Firewire cables and a ten foot long 5 pin USB cable. All that to my door in three days. Pretty darn good in my book. I highly recommend Monoprice for dirt-cheap cables that work and look really nice.

So now I'm closer to getting the "new" machine set-up to do the measurement stuff and I finally have enough horsepower to do all of my graphics work. And of course, Newegg rocks too. Two more gigs of memory went in the box tonight as well thanks to the Egg. Time for bed now. I've worked myself to the point of being way beyond tired. Goin' to bed.

Agreed. Found out about Monoprice a few months ago and I haven't gone back. I'm an evangelist for them. Everyone I know that has to buy a cable has been told about this.

Some of the people have been skeptical. I can see why. It took some convincing for me. However, Gizmodo had a story on Monoprice HDMI cables where they tested their cables versus Monster cables at the Monster testing facility. At anything under 35ft runs of HDMI, the were dead on the same.
