SOLD:Klipsch 5-channel Plate Amps
I have three 5-channel plate amps from the Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 systems that I bought for a project and it looks like I am going to go a different way and wont be using them now.
I have seen a lot of post where people have looking for multichannel plate amps so I thought I would mention it here.
The amps use the BASH circuitry and have 5 independent amplifier cards that can be configured to any of the 5 signals (LF, RF, LR, RR, SUB) via jumpers on the board.
They have a separate control pod to adjust the main, rear, and sub volume. While the crossover points are not immediately adjustable they are simple Sallen-Key filters and I have the instructions and values to adjust the points to a hp/lp of either 100hz or 200hz. The stock point is 60hz.

If someone is looking for a nice amp to do an active speaker, pc set up, or even a real HT in a Box this is it. If anyone is interested shoot me a message.

How much do you want for them?

Re: Klipsch 5-channel Plate Amps
Here is some additional information that I thought I needed to put out there as it has been asked in PM's.
The amps are $75 each unmodified with the instructions to modify the crossover points. If you would prefer that I do the modifications then they are $125 ($25 in parts & $25 for 2 hours labor).
The amps are rated by Klipsch at 60 watts per channel to the LF,RF,LR,RR channels and 160 watts for the sub. Being that each amplifier card is identical I am more inclined to believe they are all 60 watts. Each amplifier has four outputs (2) IRF9530 and (2) IRFZ14. Maybe one of the electrical guys can verify the potential for the wattage.
The amplifiers are also 4ohm stable.
The amps where bought as new surplus stock and have not been mounted or used but will be hooked up to verify working condition before they are shipped.
If I have missed anything let me know and I will try to answer it. I am going to keep them posted here through the week and then it is more than likely off to eBay...
To answer a few questions on the modifications involved here are a couple of pictures. There are 2 caps & 2 resistors on the control pod that need to be changed and 10 caps & 10 resistors on the I/O board that have to be changed. The caps and resistors grouped together are all the same value, the others vary.
