Try 1 last time-- ESL materials and speakers FREE TO EVEN A BAD HOME
Several times had agreed to have someone pick these up, but they never showed...
So, here goes, last time. Then it's out to the curb next trash pickup day! Taker to agree to take all the ESL stuff (will need van or truck because of dimensions, unless you want to take it apart first, cut wires, etc.). Located about 15 minutes away from the PE Springboro store.
"Focused Array" concave curved electrostatic speaker system, about 7ft tall, 30inches wide each, home made, were featured in a Speaker Builder issue about 10 years ago. See photo below.
About 1/3 of the panels appear to be separated (probably repairable if someone wants to try to use the panels over for something else). Wood frames are very nice looking, though kinda weird in design (ultra directional)! Included are a set of decent wideband high voltage audio stepup transformers PLUS an extra pair of similar transformers. Also include homebrew switching high voltage bias supplies. And a new roll of mylar film. And several spare panels (about 14" wide 7" high each). And a roll of the dielectric tape they were made with. And glass sheets and supplies (graphite, cotton batting for rubbing the graphite into the film and stretching), and some other stuff. Enough to get yourself into trouble making your own stats.
If you don't like the price (free), make an offer! Last chance, 2 weeks, otherwise I'll whimper while carting them to the curb.

Sorry Mike, trying to simplify my life, not make it more complicated! Really, shipping them would be pretty difficult because of the odd shape. Appreciate the offer, though.

They MIGHT be removable. They are attached with similar adhesive foam as that which holds the stators together. But it would be some work and de-soldering, more than I'd want to get into at this point.
"It has been remarked that if one selects his own components, builds his own enclosure, and is convinced he has made a wise choice of design, then his own loudspeaker sounds better to him than does anyone else's loudspeaker. In this case, the frequency response of the loudspeaker seems to play only a minor part in forming a person's opinion."
