In other news...*pic*
Progress is being made, albeit slowly on the Audaycities project...
Baffles have been rough cut, and the holes routed out. Boxes are built, with mounting blocks for the baffles installed. I'm going to purchase some 1" doweling, and install braces side to side in the cabs, nothing much, I think a little bit of boom will be benign at worst, beneficial at best in my room.
Once the boxes are done I will mount the baffles and flush trim them to fit, then round over the edges. Then, xo component purchase and assembly, then finishing. They're a ways off, yet, but I can see the end

I hope that you're chambering the midranges somehow.

Wolf and JD,
Yes, I am chambering the mids, I am going to attach lengths of capped and stuffed 4" pvc to the inside of the baffle, I won't be able to get to .15 ft^3 I don't think, but with the stuffing, it should be pretty good.
Tom and Phil,
Yes, the wood is poplar, I bought it because I could afford it, but I'm liking the look of it more and more each day.
Thanks!
Mark

Poplar can be beautiful and easy to work, but is also extremely easy to damage. Consider using some very much thinned cyanoacrylate and flood the surface to stiffen the fibers and it can finish very much like an exceptionally clear maple.
When you run make sure you run,
to something not away from, cause lies don't need an aeroplane to chase you anywhere.

Should I do that before or after I stain it? And what should I thin the CA with?
Iggy, thanks for the props!
