Vifa Dayton monitors (Show case) Question

I was wanting the build the vifa Dayton Monitor from the showcase to use as a studio monitor. Has anyone ever used these for this application, and if they did how did they sound? Or does anyone have a link to a moderately priced studio monitor I could build instead of these. I will be using them for Audio and Video editing.

I've used that woofer and tweeter, but not together. But I've built two of Dave's projects, the D8 TM and D8 MTM...for the money in parts/materials/time, they cannot be beat for SQ. I think Wayne J. did the XO, so I know it's been designed properly. I would think they could work, but most studio monitors are for near-field listening...I'm certainly not an expert in this area. If you want a more refined SQ, like more resolution and detail, maybe one of the versions of Roman's Microbe:

There are others, but maybe someone with more direct experience with studio-type speakers will chime in.
