Was going to say that Zaph tested and commented on it, but (its good that) I checked. Zaph tested a Dynaudio 6.5"... they are fairly similar, but this one looks to have some better design features.

The Dynaudio he rated behind the HiVi 6.3 that is a near clone... I have no idea if this one is better or worse than either...

The Dynavox and the Hi Vi are both knockoffs of the Dynaudio woof. Dynaudio (along w/ Morel) pioneered the large voice coil midwoofs. The other 2 are asian me-too's.

Hell, the Dynavox name is a bit of a , shall I say "tribute" to its predecessor.

I think I have some measurements of this woofer on one of the 'puters at home. I'll check that out tonight. It's a pretty decent performer as far as I'm concerned. The project I used them in is at my buddy Donald's house so if I don't have the data I think he'll let me borrow one to check things out. He's pretty happy with them so it's going to be tough when the day comes for me to take them back but that probably won't be for awhile. I miss 'em in my house tho!

    Hey Shawn,
That would be great. What's your overall impression. I posted a while back that my friend used them as a drop in for his Bostons and we abuse the heck out of them. They take it all in stride.

Dang! I only have the curve for the woofer with a low-pass filter in place. That make a bit of sense because I laid out a preliminary crossover in the PCD and then started changing things on the fly as I was doing listening and measuring. I'll try to get a speaker back in the house this weekend to get a raw woofer measurement. Mind you it will be in the box the woofers are installed in so use any measurement with that warning.

They do take their fair share of work though. I've played them pretty hard as well and I never heard them complain. Gotta say the Dynavox woofers are some under-appreciated pieces of kit.
