Hello to all the members of this forum, I have old cabins altec, the reference is 870B Speaker System, Serial 892, Number 391916, AL75. The woofer is 420Y. , I have connected them to a Set 2A3, 45, 300B ,71A and VT-25. I build my set amps. I using the C36 crossover EV 3500Hz, with EV-t35 or Eminence APT-80

The treble of the 420 is very good, absolutely no "ringing", Several people recommended a Raven R2 ribbon tweeter, unfortunately I get in my budget. a cheaper alternative, my candidates are the following
