Default What to do with these drivers?

I have six older Scanspeak 8544s and five Dynaudios D28/2s like new. Are they worth building speakers with? What would you do/build with them?

I'm sure they'd do some serious sub-50 Hz bass, .5 cf for a vented TM, 1 cf for an MtM. You'll need to fnd some F/Z data (or measure them).

Are the 8544's okay to use in a sealed box or should I do vented? I'm thinking making a HT setup since I have enough drivers.

    Here is the Factory Info:

Looks like you should get pretty good performance out of a small enclosure. You will notice that they are somewhat limited on SPL however.

I would guess that they would probably work nicely with the D28s although I have never used either driver. Would at least be a nice 2-way. Better yet, I don't know for sure, but I bet that D28 is 92dB efficient or more - so a MTM would be even better...

    Better yet,

    Good luck!

With a lower Qts at 0.28, I'd stick with vented.
