Default maybe you guys can help. looking for 100 watt mono 12v amp board

Ok, i am playing around with build a powered subwoofer for a car. Basically building a small amp into the box.

for a test box i am using the TB neo shallow 10" sub. basically identical to the ED sq10 subs i use, just has a lower rms.

now i also bought this amp

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=350185287112

i dont think it will really put out 300 watts, but it might do 100 rms

if it seam to work, i want to pull the amp from its casing, then extend leads frm the power and rcs hook up and mount it all facing one way throguht the box ( i will actually have the amp in a seperate area of th eboxm no way t seal that many holes).

Anyway, if it works, any idea where i guy could buy a 100 watt mono 12v amp board i could put in these?

i dont even know where to look for such an item

You can't pull the circuit board out of that car amp and expect it to work. The aluminum case is the heatsink for the output stage and power supply transistors.

you also have to consider how you will provide the 12v supply.

If this amp works why would you need a different one? Maybe I'm missing something?

In any case, this would work, but you need a DC-DC converter to turn your 12V battery voltage into +/- 24-32V.

basically, i was hoping someone made stuff like the amps already placed inside powered car subs. The basically are a circuit board with one heat sink on the end. i know its a long shot, just wondering.. If you pulled a amp from its case, could you not put other heat sinks on in another arrangement? i find more of the newer cheaper amps sema to have a lot of room inside, and seam the case is only for looks, as some of it is plastic even
