Here's one design, haven't heard them myself though.

It looks great! I wish I could understand what is written. I tried translate.google.com from German to English, with no success.

That looks more like swedish to me....since jonas is in Sweden, that would make sense, no? Could be Dutch though...but definitely not German.

EDIT: .nl domain, I'm going with Dutch.
You know I'm born to lose, and gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby,

And don't forget the joker!

I did. It took forever to get the response smooth as once you remove the rear cup, the lack of damping changes the tweeter response to the right half of a Nike swish. Basically it just shoots up at an angle in the treble and doesn't go as low anymore.
It took weeks to get it smooth and natural sounding. It sounded great in my large room but once I put them in my small dedicated listening room, I didn't like it. In the end, I put everything back to have a dipole midrange from around 200Hz to 2.2Khz and the B&G Neo3 PDR running monopole.
It sounded great in dipole mode in a normal/large room and I wish I saved the XO schematic because it took forever to get it right. I think I had to add some shaping to the top end and raise the crossover frequency from the mid. It was effectively a very different crossover in the end. I think I went from third order to second order as well. My point is that it can be done and it will sound good in the right room, but it'll take some work and the right tools to get it right.
Note that my small listening room is treated and rather dead sounding. It wasn't too bright, but the image was more diffuse than I wanted. I liked it at first but went back to the pure simplicity of the monopole tweeter.
