Re: Links to existing DIY speaker designs...
Add Lou C's http://lonesaguaro.com/speakers
Also, would be good to look up Wolf's hodge-podge page on Photobucket. And Dennis Murphy's website, too. Dennis doesn't have a LOT of designs, but he has very good writeups. I think his is murphyblaster.something...

Lou's site is great! Can't believe I've never seen that before.
He's a very entertaining read as well

Anyone else vote to make this thread a sticky?
I'm constantly visiting these sites, as are many others I'm sure... it would be really convenient to have this list at the top of the forum.

Only if 98% of the posts are links only and not conversations (hint, hint )

Try this one too: www.speakerbuilder.net
It's Wayne J's site with some great stuff on it. It doesn't look like he's added anything to it for about four years, but there's still a few great designs and tutorials to be found. (Hopefully the man's ok!)

Now this IS helpful. There's nothing like one-stop no-cost shopping for well documented designs. Just what a growin' boy needs!

Re: Links to existing DIY speaker designs...
Here are two sites that have a wealth of information and I don't see referenced here very often (hence someone may be pleasantly surprised). I propose that they are DIY at heart; despite that fact that they do have things for sale.
Linkwitz Labs of Linkwitz-Riley fame:
http://www.linkwitzlab.com/
and Elliot Sound Products (ESP)
http://sound.westhost.com/
Both have a large archive of articles.

It looks to me like Paul's designs are free (the costs are the estimates for parts)?
