Godzilla's speaker projects - a few random designs and home to the Bigger is Better TL.

Erik Forker's Tapped Horns - nice loud & low enclosures for the TB W6 Neo sub

I have not seen any mention here of http://www.subwoofer-builder.com/index.htm
Bill Collison has lots of information on subwoofer building.

We probably just need to get Rich's attention. I was going to use the "report post" button that's on the corner of every thread, but I guess it's just for harassment and whatnot. I suppose I could go posting Lunch's personal email addy or something...

Besides it's not like this post would help to line PE's pockets with Cash...

Why's that? By having these links, people get inspired to build speakers... so they buy parts from PE... this can only increase their business.

That's why I'm trying to limit it to free designs... and why I'm a bit on the fence with sites like Jed K's, since in addition to free designs it is also a commercial site... fantastic site though it is.

    .
Agreed... more than half of the parts in my kits and free designs come from PE.

My decision to offer some commercial kits has it's downsides. Not being able to participate in DIY competitions, post links to my site, etc. may be some of them. I guess it depends on one's perception.

By the way I hear zaph is going commercial soon as well. Time will tell how that influences one's view of his site as commercial, purely informative, or both. Troels G. has a custom driver for sale and collaborates with Jantzen Audio. I think it can work both ways. Just my opinion and if people object to my link, I'd be happy to edit my post and delete it.

Maybe I can link to all the driver tests and free designs and not the main page at my site. But then again folks linked to Linkwitz's site, Music and Design, ESP, Planet 10, and a few others where products are sold. Are you on the fence for those sites as well? I do not mean to put anyone on the defense, so please take this post as just reaching out and offering a counterpoint. I'm open to suggestions. I understand I'm walking a fine line here.

    Regards,

    Jed

I'm being a little sarcastic. I think I came to this same conclusion a few months back regarding the need for a sticky completed designs thread. This type of reference could increase sales...

Yes I am, actually. When I get a chance I'm going to go back through and delete the links to commercial sites, even if only partially commercial... including yours, I'm afraid.

I didn't realize you had me on your list in the first post

I would not delete any of the sites. All of the sites I have seen have a basis in DIY. The more people have a chance to be exposed to all of these sites the more they want to build. I have built several kit designs, but continue to build free designs and buy the majority of my parts from PE because I am on this forum all of the time.

If you are affraid, send an email to Rich and have him decide which sites he feels are inappropriate. Then remove them. Don't edit a great thread until you know that the sites are offensive to PE.
