I gave in and purchased a RocketFish 7.1 + SP/DIF soundcard today, and tunes can now be back in use.

New issue-
I cannot boot from the HDD-copy CD-ROMs to backup my system, as I have only one IDE cable, and 3 devices; 2 HDD, and the 8x DVD+/-RW.

This means to make the HDD copy, I require that all 3 drives are active; one for source, one for destination, and one for the disc-boot program.

I guess I am in the market for an SATA DVD+/-RW device to allow this to happen.

Also-
It appears that I do have files active for System in the C:/ drive, and the D:/ contains all the programs and docs. Does this mean that I will have to clone both partitions to the newer HDD?
I will have to associate the dual partitions prior the time of transfer I wager?

I just want to be able to use the newer internal 160GB drive as my main and use the older HDD 80GB as the backup.

I never thought I'd have this much trouble upgrading and everything else...
Thanks for the help in the past and future...
