NP: Infectious Grooves....
"The Plague that makes your Booty move, it's the Infectious Grooves!"
This was a side project by Mike Muir and Robert Trujillo of Suicidal Tendencies (at the time, circa 1991; Trujillo has of course since moved on to a little SF band called Metallica )
It's a mix of Trujillo playing funk slap bass, with metal guitars and varying funk and rock rhythms. The whole thing is great, IMHO, but highlights to me are "Therapy" and "Monster Skank"....give it a listen if you get the chance!

I give you:
THE 1990's!!!
Not as bad as the 80's, but still damn scary.

Re: NP: Infectious Grooves....
That is a fun album. Great music for driving in the summer time, I gonna have to dig that one out. They also had Stephen Perkins form Jane's Addiction on drums.
Aaron,
PS, You lie... and yo breath stank!!!

Re: NP: Infectious Grooves....
Seeing how I was the biggest ST fan to be found at my high school all those years ago, I was really keen on the Grooves when I was in college radio. Thanks for the flood of really great memories, Mark.

Re: NP: Infectious Grooves....
I'm pretty sure I still have "The Plague..." on cassette. I know where the box is and I can dig it out, the only problem is I no longer have a cassette player.

Great album, very creative and funny!!! You should see my jewel case for that album, it's opaque from use.
